Agreement
These Terms of Service ("Terms") form a binding agreement between you and Trinity ("we", "us", or "our") for your use of the Trinity mobile app and any associated services (together, the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
Our Privacy Policy is incorporated into these Terms by reference and explains how we handle your personal data.
Eligibility
You must be at least 16 years old to create a Trinity account. By using the Service, you confirm that you are at least 16 and that you have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms. If you are using the Service in a jurisdiction with a higher digital-consent age, you must meet that age.
Trinity is intended for personal, non-commercial use by individuals.
Your Account
You are responsible for keeping your account credentials confidential and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us promptly if you suspect unauthorised access (hello.trinityapp@gmail.com).
The information you provide during sign-up and onboarding (name, age, weight, training preferences, biological sex) must be accurate. The Service relies on this information to compute training metrics; inaccurate input produces inaccurate output.
You may delete your account at any time from inside the app: Settings → Delete account. Deletion is permanent and irreversible after 30 days, subject to legal retention obligations described in the Privacy Policy.
The Service
Trinity is a training-log and analytics application for hybrid athletes. It allows you to:
- Log gym sessions, runs, rides, swims, and other endurance activities
- Log fuel intake, sleep, and body weight
- Optionally connect Apple HealthKit, Google Health Connect, or Strava to import data automatically
- View weekly training load, polarisation, and form-state metrics
- Generate event-specific training plans (Trinity Pro subscribers)
- Compete in friend leagues and tier progression
We continuously develop the Service. Features may be added, modified, or removed. We will give reasonable notice of material changes that adversely affect your experience, especially for Trinity Pro subscribers.
Health Disclaimer
Trinity is not medical advice. The Service is for general fitness and training information only. It is not a medical device, does not diagnose or treat any condition, and is not a substitute for professional medical, nutritional, or athletic advice.
You should consult a qualified healthcare professional before starting any new exercise programme, particularly if you have any pre-existing condition, are pregnant, are recovering from injury, or are taking medication that may affect physical activity.
Training carries inherent risks of injury. By using the Service you accept those risks. You are solely responsible for the choices you make regarding your training, recovery, and any actions you take based on information presented in the app.
Trinity does not validate your input. If you log incorrect weights, durations, or intensities, the metrics produced will be incorrect. Always train within your own capabilities.
Trinity Pro Subscriptions
Trinity is free to download and use. Trinity Pro is an optional auto-renewing subscription that unlocks additional features, including event-specific training plans, advanced load science, hybrid-athlete insights, and adaptive plan adjustment.
Pricing
Trinity Pro is offered as either a monthly or annual subscription. Current pricing is shown inside the app on the Trinity Pro screen. The price you see at the time of purchase, including any introductory offers, is the price you will pay for the initial term. Apple and Google may charge in your local currency at their prevailing exchange rates.
Billing & Auto-Renewal
Subscriptions are billed through your App Store account (iOS) or Google Play account (Android). Trinity does not see, store, or process your payment card information.
Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each period (monthly or annual) unless you turn off auto-renewal at least 24 hours before the period ends. Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours of the end of the current period.
Managing Your Subscription
- iOS: Settings > [your name] > Subscriptions > Trinity
- Android: Google Play app > Profile > Payments & subscriptions > Subscriptions > Trinity
You can cancel at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period — you keep access to Pro features until that date. Deleting the Trinity app does not cancel your subscription.
Restoring Purchases
If you re-install Trinity or sign in on a new device, you can restore your active subscription from the in-app paywall ("Restore" link) or from Settings > Subscription > Restore / Claim beta access. Restoration uses your App Store or Google account purchase history.
Free Trials & Refunds
New Trinity Pro subscribers may be offered a free introductory trial period (typically 7 days). During the trial you have full access to Pro features. If you do not cancel before the trial ends, the subscription auto-renews at the standard price. You can cancel from your App Store or Google Play subscription settings at any time during the trial.
Each Apple ID or Google account is eligible for at most one free trial. Re-subscribing after a previous trial does not grant a new trial.
Refunds are governed by the terms of the App Store or Google Play and are handled by Apple or Google directly:
- Apple: request a refund at reportaproblem.apple.com
- Google: request a refund at play.google.com/refund
Where you have a statutory right to cancel under UK consumer law, you may exercise that right in addition to anything offered by Apple or Google.
Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service in any way that breaks the law or infringes others' rights
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract the source code of the app
- Probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of the Service or its infrastructure without prior written permission
- Submit deliberately false data with the intent to abuse leaderboards, leagues, achievements, or paywalled features
- Resell, sublicense, or commercially redistribute the Service or any of its content
- Use the Service to harass, abuse, or impersonate other users
- Interfere with or disrupt the Service, our servers, or our network
- Use any automated system (bot, scraper, crawler) to access the Service without our prior written consent
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate this section without prior notice where the violation poses a risk to the Service or other users.
Your Content
You retain ownership of any data you input into Trinity (workouts, fuel, sleep, weight, photos, comments). By logging this data you grant Trinity a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, transmit, and process it solely for the purpose of providing the Service to you, computing your training metrics, and the limited purposes described in the Privacy Policy.
This licence ends when you delete the relevant data or your account. After deletion, residual aggregate or anonymised statistics may persist (see Privacy Policy → Retention).
You are solely responsible for the legality of any content you submit. Do not submit content that you do not own or have permission to use.
Third-Party Services
Trinity integrates with several third-party services:
- Apple App Store / Google Play — distribution and payment processing
- Apple HealthKit / Google Health Connect — optional health-data import
- Strava — optional activity import
- Supabase — backend infrastructure (database, authentication, storage)
- RevenueCat — subscription management
- PostHog — product analytics
Each of these services has its own terms and privacy policies. Your use of those services through Trinity is subject to their terms in addition to ours. We are not responsible for the acts or omissions of third-party providers; however we choose them carefully and disclose them in our Privacy Policy.
Intellectual Property
The Service — including the Trinity name, logo, app design, source code, illustrations, content, and accompanying website — is owned by us and protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws. We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the Service for your own personal, non-commercial purposes in accordance with these Terms.
Nothing in these Terms transfers any of our intellectual-property rights to you. All rights not expressly granted are reserved.
Termination
You may terminate your account at any time by deleting it from inside the app (Settings → Delete account).
We may suspend or terminate your account if you breach these Terms, abuse the Service, or where required by law. Where practicable we will give you notice and a reasonable opportunity to remedy a breach. Upon termination:
- Your right to use the Service ceases immediately
- Active subscriptions remain in effect until the end of the current billing period (you may request a refund from Apple / Google)
- We delete your personal data in accordance with the Privacy Policy
Sections that by their nature should survive termination (Disclaimers, Limitation of Liability, Intellectual Property, Governing Law) survive.
Disclaimers
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". To the maximum extent permitted by law, we make no warranties (express, implied, statutory, or otherwise) about the Service. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or free from viruses or other harmful components.
We do not guarantee that information presented in the Service (training metrics, plan recommendations, leaderboard positions) is accurate, complete, or fit for any particular purpose. You rely on the Service at your own risk.
This section does not limit any rights you may have under applicable consumer-protection law, including the Consumer Rights Act 2015 in the United Kingdom.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Trinity, its directors, employees, and agents are not liable for:
- Indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages
- Loss of profits, revenue, data, goodwill, or business opportunity
- Any injury, illness, or other physical or mental harm arising from your training, including (without limitation) injuries sustained while following or relying on training suggestions presented by the Service
Where liability cannot lawfully be excluded, our total aggregate liability for any claim arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service is limited to the greater of: (a) the total amount you paid us for Trinity Pro in the 12 months preceding the claim, or (b) £100.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.
Governing Law & Disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service, except that consumers resident in the European Union retain the protection of mandatory provisions of the law of their country of habitual residence.
Before bringing a dispute, please contact us at hello.trinityapp@gmail.com — most issues can be resolved quickly.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes — for example, changing pricing structure, modifying the cancellation policy, or expanding what we may do with your data — we will notify you in the app and (where you have provided an email address) by email at least 14 days before the changes take effect.
If you continue to use the Service after the changes take effect, you accept the updated Terms. If you do not accept them, you can cancel your subscription and delete your account before the effective date.
